CIPD Learner Stories: Andreanna Dais-Patterson

Read what Andreanna has to say about her learning experience so far with DPG.

With a degree under my belt, I didn’t think I’d do any further vocational studying.

However, working in Learning & Development opened me up to so many possibilities and before long, I was excitedly signing up for the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development with DPG.

I wanted to achieve a CIPD Level 5 qualification to help grow my career in a job I loved from day one, and I did just that.

DPG’s self-guided study platform is wonderful, offering a wealth of resources.

It’s user-friendly and gives you the freedom to study how and when best suits you.

There’s a variety of learning tools and mediums that are inclusive and never boring.

You’re assigned a tutor and mine is fabulous. She’s always on hand to point me in the right direction or reassure me when I need her.

Being a subject matter expert, she offers insights which are second to none and she’s a real delight to work with.

Balancing study in this self-guided way alongside work and life has proved not only to be manageable, but enjoyable too.

Besides boring my colleagues to death with all the theory I have been learning and putting into practice, it has given me confidence and conviction in my own skills and experience.

So much so that I’ve already moved up a career grade!

There’s a symbiosis between study and work that is so effective. I take what I learn in my studies into my job, and what I’ve learnt in my role to my studies reinforcing both in a way that’s mutually beneficial.

Someone once told me, it’s not the things you do that you regret, but the things you don’t.

With that in mind, I am so pleased I signed up with DPG and can see myself continuing my studies with them even further!
