Since completing DPG’s CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management, I've secured an HR Manager position with a new company. I really feel the Level 5 qualification was key to helping me secure this role.
I had already completed the CIPD Level 3 course through distance learning and wanted to complete my Level 5 course in a similar way to broaden my HR knowledge.
I was concerned initially that the learning was completely online, however, I quickly realised that this was a fantastic way to fit study around my job and family life.
My goals for the course were to be able to work more strategically and have a better understanding of how UK employment legislation is applied. I feel the course has provided me with not only a thorough HR understanding, but has also enabled me to become more commercially aware. This has helped me enormously when presenting business cases to my senior colleagues.
Since completing the CIPD Level 5 HR Management course, I have secured an HR Manager position with a new company, which allows me to become involved in more commercial areas and allows me to work on HR at a strategic level. I really feel the Level 5 qualification was key to helping me secure this role.
My advice to anyone looking to study with DPG is do it! The tutors and facilitators are very supportive and will help you in any way they can to succeed. The course materials are all very easily accessible and the online learning is fun to work through.
The online forums and support groups are also a fantastic source of information and provide an opportunity for learners to share ideas and thoughts, which really helps too.
