What is CIPD Level 5? HR Qualifications Explained

Take your HR career to the next level with an online CIPD qualification.

As you may already know from your own research or word of mouth, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) offers internationally recognised HR and L&D qualifications for those individuals looking to begin or enhance their career in the booming people profession.

In our first blog of this series last month, we went into detail on the CIPD Level 3 HR qualification. This month, however, for our second blog in our series, we’re taking a closer look at the associate level qualification offered by the CIPD.

Let’s jump in!

What is CIPD Level 5?

The CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management, roughly equivalent to an undergraduate degree, is a step up from the CIPD Level 3 qualification.

In line with the new CIPD Profession Map, this qualification enables you to explore a broad range of HR practices across essential areas, including recruitment, talent management, and employment law, ultimately empowering you to develop your practical and analytical skills so you can apply them directly to your current or desired mid-level HR role.

Studying a CIPD Level 5 Diploma also comes with a number of benefits and resources from the CIPD, including a CIPD Associate Membership that will add credibility to your sought-after skills, experience, and commitment to deliver on organisational needs.

Simply adding to your CV that you’re studying for this prestigious qualification will help make you a top applicant for potential employers or help you stand out in your current organisation.
