An Employer's Guide To Managing Mental Health: Your Downloadable Toolkit

In 2026, workplace attitudes towards mental health in the workplace continue to improve, with more employees reporting that they feel comfortable discussing mental health at work.

UK workforce research shows that while around two-thirds of employees now describe their overall health as good, a significant proportion still experience work-related stress, burnout, or mental health challenges that impact their day-to-day working life.

Although this progress is encouraging, employers must continue to build on this momentum by strengthening workplace culture, reducing stigma, and ensuring open conversations about employee wellbeing are consistently supported.

This is especially important given that many employees still report experiencing pressure and exhaustion at work, which can directly affect both performance and retention.

AT DPG, we've decided to take actions into our own hands, with the creation of, an Employers Guide To Managing Mental Health: Your Downloadable Toolkit, featuring:

  • Further insight into mental health and illness
  • Identifying mental health disorders: signs to look for
  • An employers mental health checklist: A 4-step approach
  • The creation of healthy coping mechanisms in the workplace
  • Having a conversation about mental health and illness
  • Online resources and phone numbers

This toolkit aims to be a one-stop shop for employers, providing a resource to turn to during hardship. We know the subject of mental health and mental illness may sometimes seem overwhelming, we hope that this toolkit can provide some helpful insight into effectively managing mental health in the workplace.
