We find it takes most students around 18 to 22 months to complete the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma. To give you plenty of flexibility, we offer a support period of 24 months.
However, everyone is different, so keep in mind that this might vary depending on your circumstances, the learning method you choose, and how much time you can dedicate to studying each week.

For every unit you study, you'll complete a written assignment (generally up to 4,000+ words). You'll hand these in online where they'll be marked by our assessors and moderated by CIPD.
And don't worry – if you don't pass an assignment the first time, you'll be able to have another go with feedback and advice from your tutor. We’ve got your back!
Yes, you’ll need to join CIPD as a Student Member before submitting your first assignment for your CIPD Level 7 Diploma. Membership is essential for CIPD to moderate your assignments, issue grades, and award your qualifications – so it’s an important step!
Once you enrol, we’ll guide you through the process of becoming a Student Member. Please note, however, that CIPD charges an annual Student Membership fee that is separate from your course costs with DPG.
Once you complete your CIPD Level 7 course, you'll then be eligible for CIPD Chartered Membership, granting you the added tools, resources and professional credibility you need to get ahead – and stay ahead – in the people profession.
