What were your goals of starting the programme?

I wanted to increase my knowledge and confidence in HR for my existing role. My job title had changed in my role and I was given more responsibility which I wanted to excel at. My goals therefore were to have the knowledge and expertise needed in the role to support my colleagues and stakeholders.

How did the programme help your career and where are you now?

The programme has definitely boosted my confidence. I have always enjoyed my role but now I have the added knowledge behind me, I love my role. As far as my career, I am still in the same role but having completed the programme to this level, I feel confident and in a much stronger position than I did previously.

What would you say to anyone thinking of starting a programme with DPG?

If you are even just thinking about it, I would say don’t hesitate in taking the next step. The professionalism and knowledge is excellent and it really does fit in with a busy working environment. I am a mum and work full time and at times it hasn’t been easy as some of the assignments can be challenging but I have always received the support I needed and in a timely fashion. The programme eases you in gently, introduces you into a virtual world and ‘Zip HR’ where you become a member of the team. What I found very useful was being able to complete the assignments using examples from your own employment too, therefore becoming useful documents to use in your own work environment.
